A stationary or self contained compactor will hold 30-40YD of compacted material. 

Typically a compactor will hold 3 times the amount of material that open -top containers can hold. This will significantly reduce your hauling & cost.

Vertical compactors are great if you have large amounts of trash with limited space. These compactors are great for  shopping plazas, restaurants, cafeterias, fast food locations, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and more. They can handle from 6-8 cubic yards of trash. Vertical compactors can handle:

If you generate a large amounts of waste and have plenty of space to store equipment, a 40-Yard compactor would be perfect. They are specially designed for heavy commercial, industrial, and mini transfer stations. These compactors can handle 16-20 cubic yards of waste, but they do take up a lot of space.
